Custom CMS (PHP/CleanUI, 36k+ SKU) — legacy store needed a modern homepage without a database migration. Frontpage redesign, product modules and admin panel → working B2B storefront since 2022.

Frontpage rebuild — Tinta Dla Plastyków

Context

Part of a long engagement on tintadlaplastykow.pl (custom CMS, 36k+ SKU, since 2022) — this thread: legacy takeover and frontpage redesign. Takeover of an outdated system (custom PHP, CleanUI) serving over 36,000 products. The business could not pause for a full migration — the living system had to be modernized with Symfony components introduced gradually.

Period: July 2022 — 2026 | Role: Lead Full-Stack Developer / Sole Developer

Scope

  • New homepage — frontpage rebuild and responsive layout replacing the outdated theme.
  • Product sections and navigation — bestsellers, banners, category menu, search.
  • Admin panel — faster assortment and content management; Symfony Console and Event Dispatcher in the back-office.
  • Iterative delivery — business requirements shipped on the live store without stopping sales.

Result

  • The store looks and works modern without rewriting the database and without sales downtime.
  • Custom PHP CMS → modern B2B/B2C storefront, 36k+ SKU; Lead Full-Stack / sole developer.
